Love Me Again Market has proudly supported Women’s Legal Service Queensland since 2020, and in that time helped contribute to events that have raised over $200,000.

At the conclusion of each LMAM market, stallholders have the opportunity to donate clothing to WLSQ. These clothes are then sold at events such as Labels on the Lawn and Designer Rummage where all funds raised go directly to the charity.

In 2023, LMAM is excited to announce that WLSQ will be co-sharing a warehouse space in Milton to more easily facilitate events in the market space. We look forward to announcing the LMAM x WLSQ fundraising events soon.

WHAT IS WOMEN’S LEGAL SERVICE QLD (WLSQ)?

Established in 1984, Women's Legal Service Queensland (WLSQ) is an organisation providing free legal advice and other key supporting services to at-risk women in our community.

Bringing focus and expertise to legal and social issues affecting women, WLSQ are committed to a society in which every woman:

  • can live free from violence and discrimination

  • can tell her story, have it heard and respected, without judgement

  • receives a just and equitable outcome from legal and social systems.

WLSQ are often the first point of contact for people who live and identify as women in Queensland seeking assistance, or their last resort when all other attempts to seek legal assistance have failed.

WLSQ have special concern for all women and children who face additional discrimination for reasons such as, but not limited to, poverty, destitution, social class, race, age, religion, disability, and sexuality. Each year their team of staff and volunteers help more than 11,000 women and with them, over 17,000 children.

The services WLSQ offer include:

  • Family law

  • Domestic and family violence

  • Sexual assault (Counselling Notes Protect)

  • Law reform

  • Advocacy, community, and sector-wide engagement
